Applications: Used as potassium fertilizer in agriculture. Also as preservative and flavor enhancer in processed foods; substitute for sodium in low-sodium diets. Used in production of other potassium salts (potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate) and in drilling and metal heat-treatment baths in the oil and gas industry.
