Dimethyl Formamide (DMF)

Chemical Formula: C₃H₇NO
Physical Appearance: Clear, colorless liquid with mild amine-like odor. It has low viscosity and it is completely miscible with water and most organic solvents.
Applications: It is used as a solvent for polyurethane resins and artificial leather production. Pharmaceuticals industry use it as a reaction solvent and intermediate process solvent. In agrochemical formulations, it is used as a solvent for difficult-to-dissolve active ingredients and in emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulations. Also used in polymer fibers and electronic industry as processing and cleaning solvent.
