Chemical Formula: C₇H₁₆O₃
Physical Appearance: Clear, colorless liquid with a mild, ether like odor. It has low boiling point (~190 °C) and has low viscosity. Completely miscible with  water.
Applications: It is used as solvent and grease remover in industrial heavy duty cleaners, floor cleaners, and engine & auto parts cleaning. It is a solvent and leveling agent in paints, coatings, inks, and pigment dispersions. Also used in tile adhesives, sealants, and waterproofing products in the construction industry.
